Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and organize the factories according to the buyer’s standards and support the sustainability team for GRI and CDP reporting and financial loan activities.
- Interpretation of legal environmental requirements with concerned departments and prepare policy regarding environmental conservation rules.
- Monitoring and implementing sustainability projects such as HIGG, Water Efficiency, Energy Efficiency, ZDHC, Cleaner Production, Water PaCT, STWI, 3E, and LEED in factories.
- Monitoring the Environmental and Social Action Plan (ESAP) of new and existing projects according to IFC General Guidelines and IFC Performance Standards.
- Collect information, conduct meetings as part of the planning stage of project implementation, and monitor the continuous improvement plan.
- Do update all the test reports and certificates according to the expiry dates, such as ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, Oekotex, GRS, RCS, GOTS, and OCS certificates.
- Must be experienced in Higg FEM self-assessment, facing verification audits, and continuous improvement in score as per buyer demand.
- Having practical knowledge and experience about the ZDHC gateway, Bhive, and BVE3.
- Monitoring legal documents and coordinating with the concerned person to keep all the legal documents up to date.
- Internal auditing and preparing all factories of DBL Group to fulfill requirements as per buyer environmental standards and financial party recommendations regarding the environment.
- Cooperate with different organizations that have taken different initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of our factories.
- Facing buyer audits, third-party audits, and financial-party audits regarding environmental requirements by coordinating with the buyer team from time to time and preparing documentation for the buyer's CAP.
- Any environmental requirements are coming from the buyer’s team, who instantly forwards them to the concern and gives the way of implementation to the concern.
- Detail explanation of all environmental documents and records to the buyers audit team on behalf of the management during the third-party as well as the financial-party audit.
- Provide the appropriate guidance and support to the factory concern and environmental team members to implement buyer environmental standards and legal requirements.
- Post-performance evaluation of environmental project activities to implement project activities in a cost-effective way.
- Preparing a training manual and policy on environmental issues for staff and workers and also keeping them updated on all compliance-related laws and COCs, such as ECR 2023.
