Job Responsibilities

Responsible of all aspects of a ship's operation

Responsible for overseeing activities such as the loading and unloading

Responsible for repair and maintenance work

Receipt and transmission of information, navigation and all other activities essential to the safe, efficient and effective running of a ship

Responsible for managing a ship's budget and expenditure, as well as preparing voyage plans.

Maintain the record the daily activities in the ship's log, including the course and any alterations, the ship's position, any repairs and the weather conditions.

Educational Requirements

Valid Class 2 Inland Master Certificate issued by the Dept. of Shipping, GoB with at least 4-5 years services as Master of Ship

Experience Requirements

At least 5 year(s)

Additional Requirements

Good communication skills

Leadership and motivational ability

The ability to make decisions under pressure

Good eyesight with normal colour vision

Good planning and organizational skills
