The Opportunity

The Coordinator – Finance role holder is mainly responsible for assisting in the financial management according to SCI policies and procedure and assists in establishing effective financial system for providing maximum support to program and management teams in Cox’s Bazar Area Office. S/he also assists in preparation of proposal development, financial report, master budget and gap analysis. Furthermore, the Coordinator is accountable for the activities of Strategic Financial Control and Monitoring where ensuring accounting systems, policies, internal controls, and procedures are quickly established for the collection of accurate, complete and timely financial data (e.g.: budgets, forecasts, expenditure, commitments, payroll, and delegation of authority) are included. The Coordinator holds a critical role in New Business Development and Budgeting area by supporting the budget holders producing quality budgeting information and developing budget for new proposals aligning with donor prescribed formats ensuring cost recovery, providing timely and accurate BVAs to budget holders. S/he is also liable for Internal Controls and Reporting mechanisms together with Manager-Finance such as monitoring emergency expenditures and timely adjustment, monitoring and minimizing risk factors of Fraud and Theft. Including but not limited to, s/he will be contributing to NGOAB reporting & monitoring by reviewing approved donor budgets into GoB format for FD-7 submission, running transaction from Agresso for FD 7 periodically.
