Market Linkage Supervisor- Off Farm

Responsibilities & Context

Regular market visit and Off-farm products price monitoring.

Market linkage, chart development and beneficiary communication for off-farm products.

Carry out market study /analysis to understand the market demands and ensure to supply off-farm products, producers’ capacity, products volume.

Identify and develop functional relations with relevant market actors for off-farm market promotion

Develop and maintain working relationships with concerned departments, agencies, market actors, different associations, Aggregation Centers (ACs), partners and stakeholders.

Integrate producers (beneficiaries) into their supply chains and commercial distribution networks.

Problem identification in marketing system and take initiative to solve the problems.

Facilitate the development and expansion of relationships among buyers, input suppliers, producer groups on off-farm market development

Carry out market study /analysis to understand the market demands and supply of selected commodities, producers’ capacity, existing products, markets and value chains, in the target area.

Facilitate linkages between traders/markets and beneficiaries and link producers to new off-farm market opportunities.

Collaborate and maintain relationships with the off-farm related private sector.

Attend different meeting, training, workshop and other event activities.

Provide field report to concern authority regularly and as or when necessary.

Experience Requirements

At least 5 year(s)

Educational Requirements

Honors/ Masters in MBA/ Marketing or any other relevant disciplines

Additional Requirements

Age at least 30 years

At least 5 years- experience in project implementation, especially in Market linkage related tasks for off-farm products. Team building capacity Written and oral communications skills in English and Bengali Computer literacy, including the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint Practicing gender, PSEA, Safeguarding, code of conduct and cultural diversity Able to drive a motorbike with valid motorbike driving license Able to operate virtual platform like Skype/Zoom/Team etc.
