We are inviting applications for the role of AM, Data Scientist

In this role, you will be responsible to demonstrate innovation and intuition in identifying areas requiring operational adaptation and/or improvement Active user of Internet and online applications.

Responsibilities

. Identify valuable data sources and automate data collection processes

. Undertake pre-processing of structured and unstructured data

. Able to integrate multiple data sources and databases into one system

. Research and develop statistical learning models for data analysis

. Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns

. Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms

. Combine models through ensemble modelling

. Present information using data visualization techniques

. Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges

. Collaborate with product management and engineering departments to understand company needs and devise possible solutions

. Understanding of the threading limitations of Python, and multi-process architecture.

. Keep up-to-date with latest technology trends

. Work as an Individual contributor and own the project

. Work in an agile way (Scrum / Scrumban) if required

. Very good communication skills to communicate results and ideas to key decision makers

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum qualifications

. Good working experience as a Data Scientist or Data Analyst

. Bachelors/Masters in in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math or related field

. Hands on experience with AWS, AWS quicksight etc

. Strong knowledge on cloud development

. Excellent Python programmer

. Experience in data mining and statistical analysis

. Excellent pattern recognition and predictive modeling skills

. Strong knowledge on ML Algorithm and operations research

. Hands on experience on extracting data from unstructured sources like pdf, scanned pdf, images

. Knowledge of SQL and R or/and Python familiarity with Scala, Java or C++ is an asset

Preferred qualifications

. Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau) and data frameworks (e.g. Hadoop)

. Analytical mind and business acumen

. Strong math skills (e.g. statistics, algebra) and Problem-solving aptitude

. Excellent communication and presentation skills
