P&O Business Partner (Operations)

Job Description

Partner closely with Operations leaders to understand their business needs and provide strategic HR guidance

Responsible for creating a positive work environment that promotes employee engagement, motivation, and retention and also responsible to develop and implement employee engagement initiatives

Stay current with industry trends and best practices in HR for Ops dept, sharing insights with both HR and Operations teams

Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning of the operations team

Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to develop a strategic plan for talent acquisition and filter candidates for the Operations team and have to actively plan CTE hiring for Ops especially on campaign period

Analyse and interpret various types of employee reports (e.g., compensation, capacity planning, attrition) to guide decision making and provide proactive solutions to operations managers and provide guidance and support to managers and employees on employee development and career growth opportunities

Partner with the P & O team to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations

Identifies training needs for business units and individual coaching needs. Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success and follow up to ensure training objectives are met

Conducts weekly meetings with the respective business units to go over people related strategies, priorities and projects

Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues and conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations

Act as a change agent and single point of contact for employees and managers of operations department

Provides performance management guidance to line management like coaching, counselling and career development

Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required

Requirements

Bachelor/ Masters Degree in Management (Preferably Human Resource) or related field

Minimum 4 years of experience as an HR professional, with a demonstrated track record of successfully managing teams of 2-4 members

Work exposure in multinational companies will be an added advantage

Ability to function well in a fast-paced work environment by managing priorities with short deadlines

Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion

Strong interpersonal and influencing skills to work effectively in a team environment

Strong organisational skills with a track record of problem solving and effective decision making

Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors
