Purchase Manager - Construction

Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with other departments and leadership to identify and develop needs and requirements for equipment, materials, products and subcontractors.
  2. Responsible for the timely and cost effective purchae of all types of construction material requires at Site. 
  3. Monitor market conditions and equipment and materials costs.
  4. Negotiate with vendors, suppliers and subcontractors.
  5. Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions for materials, supplies and equipment following policies and procedures for purchasing and contract management.
  6. Interface with vendors, subcontractors and suppliers to resolve issues.
  7. Ensure that records of goods ordered and received are accurately maintained.
  8. Locate and interview vendors of materials, equipment, and supplies in order to determine product availability.
  9. Identify and implement improved and/or more cost-effective methods and materials.
  10. Participate in the development of specifications for homes.
  11. Ensure that all reports are completed accurately and in a timely fashion including those relating to market conditions, home cost, option cost.
  12. Ensure that various records are maintained pursuant to Company policies including construction contracts, drawings, home/subdivisions specifications.
