Junior/Intermediate Software Developer

The Division

BuildTopia , a product division of Constellation Homebuilder Systems , requires a motivated and talented Senior Java Developer to join our development team, at Contour Karachi.

Qualifications and Desired Skills:

Bachelors/Masters degree (preferably Computer Science or Software Engineering).

2+ years of Java software development experience using object-oriented methodology.

2+ years expertise in developing web-based applications using Java, Spring, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Spring Boot, Web Services and Jasper Reports.

Should have good front end and UI development experience.

Working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS and AJAX.

Working experience of Oracle database and able to write SQL queries.

Must demonstrate a high degree of courtesy, efficiency and professionalism when communicating with colleagues, internal and external customers.

Demonstrated technical and analytical skills, including the ability to understand and communicate complex technical information.

Must have good problem solving skills.

Must be team oriented.

Must have good written and communication skills in English.

Nice To Have

Microsoft Azure DevOps / VSTS

Demonstrated ability to solve moderate to complex application problems independently.

Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously .

Previous development experience with J2EE/Jakarta EE, JSP, Servlets, Spring Security, JDBC, Apache Ant and Maven/Gradle .

Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, jQuery, Vue.JS and Angular.JS .

Experience with Oracle database server or other relational databases and available toolset .

Experience Linux environments.

Experience performance tuning a production application through code and database improvements .

Experience working in a team environment using a Source Configuration Management tool like Subversion .

Understanding of software development life cycle .

Familiarity with one of the major J2EE/Jakarta EE IDE tools, Eclipse or IntelliJ .

Experience developing reports with Formula1.

Experience supporting production environments a plus.
