Software Developer

The Division:

Onefile is a market-leading provider of learning and development software to support the delivery of apprenticeships and qualifications training through its ePortfolio and learning management (LMS) platform.

The Position:

We are looking for a Software Developer who can produce and maintain code our learning and development software.

The hired employee will be located and work out of the Contour Software Lahore office, working as part of the resource center, as an extension of the division-based R&D department.

This is a contractual position with a duration of 12 months, and there is a possibility of extension based on business needs.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Develop new functionality in VB.NET and WebForms under the guidance of reporting manager.

Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions .

Write effective REST APIs .

Other duties and responsibilities as required.

Required Skills:

The tech stack we use is mainly WebForms with VB.NET. We host everything in Azure and use serverless technologies:

B.S. or higher in CS or other appropriate field of study. Equivalent experience is acceptable in lieu of a degree.

3+ years of VB.NET and WebForms.

Experience in Java Script with AJAX.

Troubleshooting code issues and familiarity with debugging in a Visual Studio environment

Querying and working with data in a relational database with preference given to SQL Server – (T-SQL).

Experience in Azure and serverless technologies.

Experience working in an Agile/SCRUM development environment and GitHub.

Degree of critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Exposure to RESTful service development.

Desirable skills:

Experience in C#, .NET MVC , and Angular
