ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled API Engineer to enhance our team. This pivotal role involves developing and expanding our API suite, ensuring its high availability, scalability, and security for both internal and external use. With a focus on REST APIs and robust documentation, the API Engineer will play a crucial role in empowering our clients and driving the continuous evolution of our platform.

Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs to meet both internal and external needs.

Create and update comprehensive API documentation using Swagger, ensuring it remains accessible and understandable to developers.

Utilize 3scale for API management, while also exploring and integrating other cutting-edge tools as necessary.

Collaborate with database teams to ensure optimal performance, designing efficient database schemas and queries.

Implement security best practices to protect API endpoints and data.

Work closely with development teams to understand requirements and provide scalable API solutions.

Engage in continuous improvement efforts, optimizing our API architecture for better performance and reliability.

Troubleshoot and resolve API-related issues, providing support to both internal teams and external clients.

REQUIREMENTS:

You are a forward-thinking API Engineer passionate about building scalable, secure, and well-documented APIs. You excel in problem-solving, possess excellent communication skills, and are adept at working under pressure. With a keen eye for detail and a customer-centric approach, youre always looking for ways to improve processes and solutions.

Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field

2+ years of experience in API development and management, with a solid understanding of RESTful services.

Good knowledge and experience with C# /.Net 7/Core.

Deep understanding of and proficiency in SQL, with the ability to write complex queries, optimize database performance, and design schemas that support scalable API solutions.

Proficiency in API documentation tools like Swagger and experience with API management platforms like 3scale.

Experience with relational databases (such as MSSQL, PostgreSQL) and familiarity with concepts like transactions, indexing, and normalization.

Knowledge of integrating SQL databases with RESTful APIs, ensuring seamless data exchange and high performance.

Experience with cloud services (AWS) and implementing secure API solutions.

Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills, capable of working effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
