Software Developer (WinForms)

The Position

We are looking to hire a Senior Software Developer who will be working on Windows Desktop software connecting to our cloud-based equipment Dealership Management System. The role will include implementation of front desk desktop UIs and ASP.net based service backends (REST, SOAP, & gRPC Protocol Buffers)

The chosen individual will work out of the Contour Software Lahore resource centre, as an extension of the division-based R&D department and will require to work between 9 am to 6 pm ET hours (6 PM – 3 AM Pakistan Time) for 1 st year at least.

Required Competencies

Bachelors or masters degree in computer science or related disciplines

7+ years of experience in developing Windows Desktop applications using Microsoft .NET technologies

7+ years of strong experience working with Web Services in .NET including SOAP and REST

Sound understanding of parallels and concurrent execution models using multi-threading and async/await

Strong collaboration skills and the ability to understand and implement complex business requirements.

3-year of Experience working with RESTful web services, including an understanding of the main tenets of what makes a service RESTful.

Prior experience working in an Agile development environment

Degree of critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Solid written and verbal communication skills.

ASP.net core web API

SOAP web services (ASMX/WCF)

.NET Core 3.1, .NET 5, .NET 6

Mobile development experience in C# via Xamarin an asset but not required.
