Systems Administrator

The Position:

We are looking for a talented individual to join our team in the role of a Systems Administrator who will focus on improving the efficiency of our infrastructure and availability of our applications.

This candidate must have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills and experience managing enterprise class applications and infrastructure is a bonus.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems (Windows + some Linux) in the AWS cloud

Monitor systems health using existing management tools, help build, test, and maintain new servers when needed

Maintain internal infrastructure requirements, including servers, firewalls, security updates, support internet, intranet and a LAN

Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers etc.

Troubleshoot software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues

Participate in customer support, troubleshooting issues and support client IT teams to find resolutions

Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure

Customer installations - supporting client IT teams install Maron software

Oracle Database setup and administration understanding (internal)

Help design, implement, maintain and support a new SaaS Cloud infrastructure (likely Azure)

Required Skills:

5+ years recent experience in System Administration

Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently is a must.

Strong analysis and troubleshooting skills

Experience with AWS/Azure

Technical Competencies:

AWS Cloud experience

Networking and VPN experience (OpenVPN)

System Design skills

RDBMS experience (Oracle preferred)

Knowledge of security best practices (ISO 27k experience)

Enterprise software experience a bonus

Terraform experience
