Deputy General Manager - Garments Technology

Responsibilities & Context

Collaborating with design, product development, and manufacturing teams to ensure smooth production processes from initial sample development to final garment production.

Setting and maintaining quality standards for garments, conducting inspections, and implementing quality control procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.

Creating detailed technical specifications and providing guidance to garment technologists and suppliers regarding construction methods, materials, and production techniques.

Evaluating and selecting suppliers, coordinating with them on technical matters, and conducting regular supplier audits to ensure adherence to quality standards.

Overseeing fit sessions, analyzing fit issues, and working with design and pattern-making teams to achieve accurate and consistent fit and sizing across garment ranges.

Ensuring that garments meet regulatory requirements and conducting tests for fabric performance, colorfastness, durability, and other relevant parameters.

Leading and mentoring a team of garment technologists, providing technical guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
