Project Manager

Responsibilities & Context

RDRS Bangladesh is working with the governments of Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Nepal are committed to achieving better education outcomes. The countries' National Education policies and strategic plans document their commitment to gender equality and social inclusion in education. However, their education metrics only collect and report data on gender and inclusion-related indicators at the macro level. Such aggregated measures lack information on the quality of the experience children go through, and more importantly, it does not provide any useful information for schools to address issues of equality and inclusion, which are critical for children to feel safe and supported in school, and for them to be able to flourish and embody these values beyond school

Project Planning and Implementation:

Develop detailed project implementation plans, timelines, and budgets in alignment with the project's objectives and outcomes.

Coordinate with consortium partners, stakeholders, and relevant education authorities to ensure smooth project implementation.

Oversee the execution of project activities, monitoring progress, and adjusting as necessary to ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.

2. Stakeholder Engagement:

Cultivate strong relationships with consortium partners, national and international education stakeholders, and other relevant organizations.·

Facilitate regular communication and collaboration to ensure alignment and engagement in project activities.

Liaise with governmental and non-governmental stakeholders to garner support and promote the adoption of GESI-related policies and practices in public schools.

3. Team Management and Capacity Building:

Lead and motivate project team members, providing guidance, support, and mentorship as needed.

Conduct regular meetings and training sessions to enhance the capacity of project staff and stakeholders in implementing the CVEC and GESI diagnosis tools.

Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that values diversity and promotes the participation of all team members.

4. Monitoring and Evaluation:

Develop monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track progress, measure outcomes, and assess the effectiveness of project interventions.

Collect and analyze data, prepare comprehensive reports on project performance, and identify areas for improvement.

Utilize feedback from stakeholders and beneficiaries to inform decision-making and enhance project impact.

Work closely with the donor, lead partner, and RDRS MEL team for proper monitoring of the project.

5. Knowledge Management and Dissemination:

Oversee the generation of knowledge products such as reports, working papers, blogs, infographics, and videos to disseminate project findings and best practices.

Ensure the effective sharing of knowledge and evidence with stakeholders through various channels, including workshops, conferences, and online platforms.

Facilitate capacity-building initiatives to empower students, teachers, and educational stakeholders in integrating GESI principles into daily school practices.

6. Other Responsibilities·

Ensure compliance of financial policies & procedures. Work closely with the finance department to ensure effective management of the project's budget. Monitor, evaluate, and ensure that the project activities are consistent with plans, and budget lines with full compliance to donor's regulations.

Deal with NGO affairs bureau compliance and maintain relationships with local administration.
