The Job

In this role, you will be designing infrastructure that is resilient and secured, building a highly available platform and ensuring good documentation practices are documented.

You will be responsible for :

Assisting AWS infrastructure in running the required services.

Benchmarking and optimising performance as necessary.

Promoting infrastructure best practices like security, release management, monitoring.

Facilitatating the building and releasing of features by the engineering team.

Developing tools and processes that increase the productivity of other engineers and ensure an efficient release pipeline.

Promoting and nurturing good team practices such as TDD, system security, code reviews, and pair programming.

Bringing vision to the team in the form of new technology recommendations, ideas and approaches.

Providing Level 3 Support and creating/integrating support infrastructure.

Automating deployments according to best practices.

Providing quality codes by testing and using up to date technologies.

Learning needed technologies and assisting the team when in need of assistance.

Smoothly integrating third party services when needed, and handling curl operations.

The Profile

You possess a Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.

You have at least 5 years of experience as a Sails.js/Node.js developer

You possess a strong knowledge of Linux systems and server management.

You are able to efficiently configure AWS Elastic Beanstalk, Cloudwatch, IAM, Route 53, Elasticache, Redis and others.

Solid knowledge of ORM Framework, JSON, Express.JS is required

You have an understanding of PHP and codes designed in CodeIgnitor framework.

You understanding how the following technologies work: JWT, SSL, WebSocket.

You have the ability to implement database solutions for new or existing features using MySQL / PostgreSQL.

You have expert knowledge of caching using Redis or Memcached.

You ideally are strong in Javascript language and experienced in a non-relational database.

You are a strong team player who can communicate well, and excited to learn new technologies in a fast-paced environment.

You possess strong analytical skills and are comfortable dealing with numerical data

You are a self-starter and demonstrate a high level of resilience
