Monitoring and Reporting Officer

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Your first task is to understand the nature of the services we are providing to UNICEF.

This includes and is not limited to an insightful review of the nature duration and emergency requirements of the assignment, and also includes an understanding of what UNICEF IPs are doing.

This may also require close coordination with UNICEF colleagues.

Gradually, you will be well-versed in MicroMerger (Pvt.) Ltd. organizational policies and you will ensure that your staff understands the same as well.

You will propose quick innovative, simple, and effective tools to help you organize your work. For instance, we would love to see maps and distances and a list of field monitors placed on the wall beside you.

You will also support your field monitors so they are highly organized and are using tools for such organizations.

This also means that you will foster an environment where we have a very professional image of our third-party monitoring services.

On a very frequent basis, you will coordinate with your field monitors.

Such coordination would collect information from field monitors on as frequent as a daily basis when required.

You may be required to carry out a certain number of field visits on a need basis to provide hands-on monitoring support and guidance/verification to ensure the quality of our monitoring services.

Develop data collection form and assist the technical team with means and technologies and ensure all field monitors have access to it.

Training of field monitors on data collection procedures and aided technologies and ensuring the quality of data.

Timely and quick information collection from field monitors shall be your responsibility.

While preparing reports, you will be highly efficient, and concise and will continuously ask yourself this question “how will this information help UNICEF?). Remember, your reports are going to make a significant difference in service delivery. You will be open-minded and will produce reports in results-based language making sure adequate dashboard, tabular and graphical information is provided.

You along with the Field Coordinator will be required to make periodic presentations to UNICEF colleagues (UNICEF IPs, also when required).

Any other tasks as and when assigned by the programme personnel and by the Project Manager.

REQUIRED JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Master in Social Science, MBA, English Literature, Research, Analysis, and Writing

Overall, 5-7 years of working experience in the field monitoring/reporting capacity

Excellent intra-personal skills, dealing with IP staff, government officers, UNICEF staff, and colleagues

Proactive relationship building and fostering an environment of comfort, support, and harmony.

Sound grip and excellent familiarity with generally accepted good practices in Monitoring.

Excellent grip on MS WORD, EXCEL, and POWERPOINT.

Excellent data analysis, interpretation, and consolidation skills.

Excellent problem-solving skills.

Ability to work in a team and also work independently when required.

Ability to take initiative.

Sound judgment and an ability to plan and organize fieldwork.
