Manager - Marketing Communications

The Position:

The Manager - Marketing Communications is responsible for:

The quality and execution of operational, tactical as well as strategic integrated marketing communications tasks, initiatives and projects, to develop and nurture the company's brand, internally and externally, to play a broader role in helping the company achieve its business growth goals.

This includes overseeing the creation, editing and oversight of all written copy, covering all traditional and digital marketing media channels, and all produced/published collateral, whether in physical or digital form.

The role requires a brand storyteller able to orchestrate integrated marketing campaigns that resonate with target audiences, in collaboration with marketing production team members, in a collaborative manner, where ideas and inspiration can come from any team member.

Starting from and in alignment with the brand's existing identity and strengths, the individual shall play a vital role in shaping brand perception, enhancing customer relationships, and amplifying brand messaging.

This role reports up through the Senior Manager – Marketing , and involves collaboration with all marketing and business team members and stakeholders, with strategic direction from the CEO/MD.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The role shall require the individual to act as part of a centralized marketing department, providing services to both the Contour global centre and its goals, as well as to the up-and-coming Boson portfolio and its constituent VMS companies/brands.

Collaborate with the marketing design and production team on social media posts and campaigns, newsletters, business development/trade show event collateral, case studies, PR pieces, videos, testimonials and more;

Take ownership of the quality (correctness, lucidity, nuance, impactful brevity), and style of all communication, based on target audience (business, employment candidate, senior executive, younger segment) specificity.

Deliver effective communication outcomes that increase employee, customer and stakeholder loyalty, differentiate the brand from competitors, and contribute to increased sales and revenue.

Education and Experience:

Advanced Degree in Marketing Communications or Brand Management, MBA or similar. Humanities and other graduates, with relevant work experiences also encouraged to apply.

10-15 years of Integrated Marketing Communications, Journalism, Professional Writing or similar experiences, preferably involving significant exposure to Digital Marketing, in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Key Skills and Competencies:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and proposals in a succinct and persuasive manner, at varying levels of abstraction, to technical, managerial and client audiences.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively, multi-task, and deliver quality work in an efficient manner.

Sound judgement, perseverance, empathy, and a focus on service excellence.

Knowledge and exposure to modern digital marketing concepts, tools and techniques, including for web development, graphics design, SEO and beyond.

Ability to think creatively and problem solve when faced with new challenges.

Experience working in high technology industry is a plus.
