Job Responsibilities
- Support different teams within BBC Media Action and partners to ensure that all outputs meet the highest quality standards; comply with donor and other relevant policies and procedures.
- Monitor the BBC Media Action's project activities and outputs across different donors and develop and maintain appropriate monitoring frameworks; proving early warning of any deliverables that are not on track or on time.
- Prepare internal and donor-facing reports and other documents needed to meet the deliverable and reporting commitments of the projects.
- Support day-to-day financial management of project activities to ensure that the projects are meeting financial commitments and compliances.
- Support fund raising activities on behalf of the BBC Media Action by identifying future projects, supporting proposal development including proposal writing.
- Support the BBC Media Action's operational relationships with NGO, UN, government and other partners.
- Prepare and disseminate regular updates on the BBC Media Action activities and achievements, aimed at the wider humanitarian community operating in the Rohingya response.
- Take proactive responsibility for staying informed about developments and good practice in disaster preparedness and response (particularly in the field of communications) in Cox's Bazar, in Bangladesh and globally.
- Undertake any other tasks or responsibilities as requested by the line manager.

- Proven ability and confidence in partnership and stakeholder management. E
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to form and maintain effective working relationships at all levels. E
- Strong knowledge and understanding of different donor compliances. E
- Experience in managing donor relations and business development. D
- Excellent report writing skills for donor reports and other documents. E
- Demonstrable ability to plan, monitor and report project outputs and outcomes. E
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the proven ability to collaborate, prioritise, work independently and maintain attention to detail. E
- Excellent written and spoken English and Bangla language skills. E
- Strong knowledge of the global and national humanitarian system and standards. D
- Well-developed IT skills, including Microsoft Office. E
- Strong understanding of rights and gender norms within a humanitarian and displacement context. E
- Commitment to equal opportunities and health & safety. E
- The role may involve working with groups of vulnerable children and adults. For the successful candidate, mandatory training will be provided on BBC Media Action's safeguarding policy and staff code of conduct. A police background check may form part of the recruitment process. BBC Media Action operates a zero-tolerance policy concerning all forms of abuse and exploitation of vulnerable people.
