Farm Manager, Inbred Rice (BRAC Seed and Agro Enterprise)
Job Responsibilities
- Create a thorough action plan for implementing Inbred Rice Seed Production activities and prepare a yearly budget in accordance with established targets.
- Execute seed production activities and provide technical and logistic support to concern people as per need
- Evaluate and monitor ongoing activities for the seed production
- Ensure all inputs for implementation of seed production activities and proper use and maintenance of all kinds of materials and resources
- Develop staff through meeting, training, coaching and ensure accountability of staffs
- Maintain seed quality with genetic purity (at least 98%) through conducting rouging, isolation and post-harvest activities
- Keep conversion loss at expected level in raw seed procurement and process loss maximum 3% at SPC level of produced / procured seeds at different seasons
- Ensure reporting to SCA for seed certification in order to purchase / procure of targeted seed
- Update all types of official documents, report to the legal authority and keep record accordingly
- Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
- Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
- Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so
- Perform any other duties as and when assigned by the respective authority
