Senior Manager - Advocacy and Campaign

Job Responsibilities

As a member of the PDQ (Program Development and Quality) team, this position shares the overall responsibility to facilitate country office Campaign and Advocacy strategies. S/he will aggregate sector-led advocacy initiatives, coordinate and monitor implementation of the country advocacy strategy while design and deliver impactful campaigns that mobilize public engagement in support of the thematic ambitions. S/he will work very closely with the Communications team in promoting SCI branding from local to national and global level. Together with Program Operations and PDQ team, the Senior Manager will design creative, impactful, evidence-based campaigns that mobilize/leverage public opinion to support advocacy agenda in line with Country Strategic Plan 2019-21 and 2030 global ambition for children. S/he will design best campaign tactics to achieve results, regularly/ periodically monitor and review their outcomes and failures, and produce lessons learnt report.

Educational Requirements

Master's Degree, preferably in Social Sciences/ Communication/ English from reputed University

Experience Requirements

At least 7 year(s)

Additional Requirements

At least 7 years of working experience in communication of which 5 years in campaign either in corporate or an NGO environment, with experience in successfully leading the development and implementation of campaign strategies

Experience of developing campaign plans, with the knowledge and understanding of a range of campaign tactics, and a track record of implementing successful campaigns.

Demonstrated experience in driving evidence-based advocacy initiatives that includes building/managing relationships with policymakers, developing advocacy products and following up

Excellent understanding of advocacy and campaigning environment in Bangladesh

Knowledge on policy environment, processes and structures

Strong interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills

Highly developed analytical writing skills and ability to analyse complex data

Good project management skills, with the ability to plan work and meet deadlines

Excellence written and spoken communication skills both in English and Bangla, including demonstrated ability to respond to media professionally
