Responsibilities & Context
Develop concept & design moldable parts at CAD (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, and Ansys or equivalent software). Create detailed 2D, 3D designs and validate design through simulation using CAD. Collaborate with the engineering team to develop innovative designs that meet project requirements. Conduct technical feasibility studies and initial cost analysis for new projects. Perform design calculations, simulations and analysis using appropriate software tools. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations and safety guidelines in all design work. Generate comprehensive design documentation, including drawings, specifications and bill of materials. Continuously research and implement new design techniques, software updates and emerging technologies. Participate in design reviews, meetings and discussions to address design issues and propose solutions. Support the manufacturing and assembly processes by providing design clarifications and resolving design-related challenges. Select tools (Mold/Die/Jig) supplier, confirm order, specification, availability and Implementation. Confirm structural parts certification and ensure design registration & patent.
