Test Automation Engineer

Project Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Test Automation Engineer to join our team at offshore. As a Test Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for performing test automation for our software projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, and project managers, to develop and test automation solutions. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in both commercial and open-source testing automation tools, along with experience in integrating automation frameworks to CI/CD and test management tools.

Responsibilities:

. Understand Business flows of automation identified candidates.

. Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using selected automation tools.

. Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines and ensure smooth execution of automated tests as part of the software delivery process.

. Leverage Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools to automate repetitive and rule-based business processes.

. Conduct code reviews, provide guidance, and mentor team members in test automation practices and techniques.

. Establish and maintain test data and test environment management processes to support test automation activities.

. Implement and configure test management tools to facilitate test planning, test case management, and test reporting.

. Develop automation scripts based on the guidelines & templates - design, create, enhance, stabilise, batch execute.

. Integrate automation scripts in QTest, batch execution.

. Build necessary automation script adaptations to support different test environments.

. Implement data creation and mining solutions as per the automated test case requirement.

. Execute, monitor and report on the automation suite as per the release cycles.

. Report on development, execution and defects.

. Actively participate in workshops, specification reviews and technical reviews

. Provide an excellent understanding of test automation methodologies and processes.

Mandatory Skills Description:

. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

. More than 5 years of experience in test automation.

. Strong knowledge of both commercial and open-source testing automation tools, such as TOSCA, Selenium, Appium, Karate, Python-Requests, jUnit, TestNG, Cucumber, or similar.

. Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure Devops, Jenkins, Bamboo, GitLab CI) and integrating test automation suites into the CI/CD pipeline.

. Familiarity with test management tools like JIRA, Zephyr, or TestRail for test planning, execution, and reporting.

. Familiarity with AWS/ Azure / GCP cloud technologies

. Proficiency in Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism) and experience in automating business processes.

. Deep understanding of testing processes, methodologies, and best practices.

. Proficient in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript) for developing and maintaining test automation scripts.

. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug and troubleshoot complex issues.

. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

. Proactive mindset, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

Banking Experience, Microsoft CRM Dynamics.
