Responsibilities
- Responsibilities of Hostel superintendent.
- Responsible for allotment of rooms to the staff.
- Responsible for addressing medical/social and personal emergencies of all staff.
- Monitor the quality of food being provided in the messes.
- To facilitate staff’s holistic development – physical, mental, and intellectual.
- To ensure the completion of maintenance activities in time by interacting with the maintenance division.
- To ensure maintenance of discipline in and around the Hostel.
- To ensure housekeeping and cleaning of the premises.
- Stocktaking and ordering cleaning equipment, linen and room supplies.
- Monitor and replenish cleaning products stock including floor cleaner, bleach and rubber gloves.
- Reports to the Head Office in case of any indiscipline or misbehavior by the staff. Looks into the grievances/complaints of the staff if found genuine
- managing budgets and controlling costs.
- Keeps strict discipline among staff of the hostels.
- Ensure no damage to the hostel furniture and fittings and timely repair and maintenance of the hostel block.
- Check rooms and common areas, including stairways and lounge areas, for cleanliness.
- The role of Warden is a challenging position and requires a fine balance between enforcing discipline and supporting and bonding with staff.
Note:
- Non-Commissioned retired GCO will be preferred.
