Infection Prevention / Control (IPC) Supervisor

Summary of position:

Implementing and supervising an infection control program in a project or health facility, according to MSF protocols, safety and IPC measures, in order to ensure quality of care and safety of patients, caretakers and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Make sure that there is a cooperation with the MOH staff and the IPC committee

Responsible for putting in place the IPC committee and organizing monthly meeting with them

Prioritize the task identified by IPC committee

Responsible for updating the IPC plan and the Spica tool on regular basis

Work in close collaboration with Watsan supervisor and the rest of the medical team

Responsible for implementing all pillars of IPC in all department.

Responsible for organizing training on IPC topics for all level of staff

Follow up on the achievement of the IPC knowledge and practice on the Ipc standards with all staff members

Need to be flexible and can be ask to assist in some other nursing task when there is an urgent need

Responsible to assist, to advice the PMR, Dep-PMR in case of an outbreak of infectious disease

Ensure IPC protocols and SOPs are implemented, followed in all locations of the project

Responsible of IPC activities reporting in MMR and sitrep
