Nurse (Cutaneous Leishmanias)

Key Responsibilities:

Organizing and carrying out care and treatments according to medical prescriptions, and assisting during consultations, daily rounds and other medical procedures.

Participating in health education of the patient (and family) when necessary.

Together with Nursing Care Providers calculation of the dosages.

Ensure safe administration of drugs as per instructions/prescriptions and in accordance with MSF protocols.

Sending material to be sterilized and recuperates it from sterilization

Carrying out admission, surveillance and follow-up of patients (i.e. assessment of the evolution of their state of health and the identification of any emergency situation or deterioration)

Carrying and supervising administrative procedures and documents (fill in patient’s files, forms, consumptions, statistics, registers, health files, etc.), ensuring an appropriate written/oral handover, and reporting any problematic situations and cases that may arise.

Participating in data collection and keeping doctors/supervisors informed .

Provide quality nursing care and follow-up of cutaneous leishmaniasis (CL) patient

Able to strictly follow the SOPs of the CL protocol and follow instructions given by the CL nursing team supervisor.

Carry the overall responsibility of any CL nursing activities appropriately, skillfully and in accordance with MSF CL guidelines for the management of CL patients, and MSF wound care protocol and all procedures in place

Requirements for the position:

Education: Registered Nurse /Registered Midwifes (RNRMs) or BSN 4 years degree with valid

Pakistan Nursing Council Registration.

Experience: Desirable 2 years of previous experience and previous experience in other NGO’s , Desirable in Cutaneous leishmaniosis or in a relevant area with MSF or in an NGO or in a hospital Setup. Language : Essential Pashto, Balochi or Persian and English (written and spoken)

Competencies: very precise, counseling skills
