Job Description

Main Purpose

Provide medical care to staffs and ER patients according to adapted and updated medical knowledge, MSF protocols, values and universal hygiene standards to improve the patient’s health conditions.

Key responsibilities:

Apply medical knowledge and skills to diagnose and prevention. Carry out consultations for MSF staffs when needed, prescribing the necessary treatment.

Keep the MSF staff member informed about the illness and provide appropriate explanations about the treatment.

Follow up on recommendations by external consultants/specialists.

Follow up on the status/condition of staff members on sick leave. Keeping track of when they have follow up appointments or can start working again.

Collaborating with the department supervisors by letting them know when a staff member is on sick leave and for how long.

Following up on medical bills received from the staff for external consultations.

Taking the lead in the vaccination of the MSF staffs. Keeping track of who needs to be vaccinated.

Being the focal point in case of staffs having an AEB. Following up on the staffs when they are under PEP treatment.

Keep and maintain the staff health data and regularly archive it in the medical archives.

Maintain confidentiality of patients and staff health at all times.

Know and ensure all MSF medical protocols are followed and implemented, checking universal precautions are followed at all times and reducing bio-hazard risks and improving infection control.

Performing duties in the ER department according to the roster prepared by ER MD in charge and rotate in the ER roster in case of need.

Interdepartmental collaboration and participation in meetings and different trainings.
