Technical Activity Manager

In collaboration with the Project Coordinator and the Logistics Coordinator, planning, establishing and reviewing the activities for his area of logistics technical activity including its annual budget, in order to identify and give a response to the needs of the mission and the targeted population.

Monitoring and ensuring the implementation in the project of his/her technical activity ensuring compliance to MSF standards, protocols and procedures, and reporting to the Project Coordinator on the development of the ongoing programmes.

In collaboration with the Project Coordinator, Logistics Coordinator and the HR Coordinator, participating in the planning and implementation of HR associated processes (recruitment, training, briefing/debriefing, evaluation, detection of potential, development and communication) of the staff under his/her responsibility in order to ensure both the sizing and the amount of knowledge required to correctly perform all logistics activities pertaining to his area.

Ensuring technical support for his area of activity and provides coaching to logistics staff under his/her responsibility.

Participating in monthly reports according to guidelines.

Implementation of Logistics strategies, tools and procedures needed in the mission specifically in the areas of IT/Biomedical, & Energy.

Supervises and ensures the proper and timely functioning of the intersectional mechanical unit, also facilitating the intersectional workshop and field visits activities.

Assess and monitors the implementation of the approved strategies, tools and procedures in the field and in capital, and report to the Logistics Coordinator the results of the assessment and recommendations for improvement and/or corrections.

Implement, manage and monitor the application of necessary reporting tools for logistic activities and drafts the monthly logistic report and chronogram with regards to the activities performed by her/his team.

Ensures technical reference for all logistics/technical issues in the mission and provides coaching to logistics staff through the organization of regular technical workshops.

Monitor activity in the different logistics specialties, as well as providing technical support to logistics personnel in the technical team through self-knowledge and policies.

Manages and monitors the logistics of the material resources for the technical unit, under the supervision of the line manager and the technical adviser.

Facilitate biddings/tenders related to logistics/service contracts, ensuring that the procedure is followed and the highest efficiency of the selected bidders.

Perform any other job-related tasks.
