Assistant Manager Learning & Development

As the Assistant Manager of Learning & Development, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the skills, knowledge, and performance of our IT and Sales teams. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing effective learning programs to ensure that our employees in these departments are equipped with the necessary competencies to excel in their roles. This position reports to the Learning & Development Manager and involves collaboration with various stakeholders, including department heads, subject matter experts, and external training providers.

Key Responsibilities:

Training Program Development: Collaborate with department leaders and subject matter experts to assess learning needs and design comprehensive training programs for the IT and Sales teams. These programs should cover various aspects, such as product knowledge, sales techniques, technical skills, and leadership development.

Content Creation: Develop engaging and impactful learning content, including training materials, presentations, e-learning modules, videos, and assessments. Ensure that the content aligns with the specific needs of the IT and Sales departments and adheres to best practices in adult learning principles.

Training Delivery: Conduct training sessions both in-person and virtually for the IT and Sales teams. Utilize various training methods, such as workshops, seminars, webinars, and one-on-one coaching, to cater to different learning styles and preferences.

Learning Evaluation: Develop and implement assessment methods to evaluate the effectiveness of the training programs. Monitor individual and team performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and continuously refine the training approach.

Learning Management System (LMS): Oversee the administration and maintenance of the company's LMS, ensuring that training records are up to date, and employees have access to relevant learning resources.

Vendor Management: Collaborate with external training providers and negotiate contracts to secure appropriate external training resources when needed.

Stay Updated with Industry Trends: Keep abreast of the latest trends and advancements in sales techniques, IT tools, and learning and development methodologies to enhance the training programs and ensure their relevance.

Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field. A relevant Master's degree is a plus.

Work Experience: 2-3 years of experience in Learning & Development, preferably in a corporate environment with exposure to IT and Sales training.

Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with sales processes, IT concepts, and technologies relevant to the organization's products and services.

Training Expertise: Proven track record in designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs for IT and Sales teams. Experience in e-learning and blended learning approaches is advantageous.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and engaging manner.

Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple training initiatives simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Collaborative Spirit: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build positive working relationships.

Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt training approaches based on feedback and evolving business needs.

Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess training effectiveness and make data-driven improvements.
