Digital Video Editor (NLE)

Job Description

Work closely with staff, crew and Producer(s) to complete video & media projects

Coordinate all aspects of Editing as needed, from project setup to onlining.

Use Adobe Production Suite software as well as Final Cut Pro, AVID, After Effects etc.

Resolve as well as host of plugins including Pluraleyes, Digital Anarchy deflicker and Neat Noise reduction.

Good knowledge of After Effects and Photoshop a requirement

All in all a high level of finishing skills including graphic design & integration, audio sweetening, color correction and final delivery are required.

Ensuring quality control and consistency on final project, supervising colorists or sound mixers and coordinators to see the edit through is expected.

Work under pressure with producers, execs and clients in the room to deliver from fast turnaround projects to long form.

Work independently to weave stories out of given footage but also make creative decisions regarding the editing of projects based on written scripts or input from producer to supervisors.

Be the editorial voice for the team and may be in meetings about projects in development or at pitch stage.

Supervise the work of other editors and may be called to finish other editor’s films.

Be an active partner helping develop workflows with the Post Managers and Head of Postproduction.
