Job Purpose:
The primary purpose of the SBCC Consultant role is to provide highly skilled and motivated expertise in social and behavioral change communication (SBCC) to support health system strengthening efforts aligned with the Universal Health Coverage (UHC) agenda. The SBCC Consultant will play a vital role in bridging the existing gaps in SBCC within the health system at all levels. By utilizing their knowledge and skills in SBCC, the consultant will contribute to improved health outcomes and the successful achievement of UHC goals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Social and Behavioural Change Communication (SBCC) is central to every programme.
SBCC, while is fundamental to achieving Universal Health Coverage and Primary Health, has been one of the health system areas that exhibits several gaps at all levels.
The consultant will provide technical assistance to support social & behavioral change communication (SBCC) for health system strengthening in lines with UHC agenda.
Essential Requirements:
An advanced university degree (Masters or higher) in one of the following fields is required: social and behavioral science, sociology, anthropology, psychology, education, communication, social work, public health, public relations, or another relevant technical field.
First university degree (Bachelor's) in a relevant field (as identified above) combined with 2 additional years of relevant professional experience in communication, participatory communication, communication planning, social mobilization, participatory research, training, and impact evaluation of communication interventions and/or other directly related technical fields may be accepted in lieu of an Advanced University Degree.
A minimum of 2 Years (Two years) progressively responsible professional experience in one or more of the following areas is required:
Planning and management of social development programme planning, communication for development, public advocacy, adaptation and application of communication planning to specific programmes, social research, public health programming, communication for development, or another related area.
Knowledge and experience of the health/ immunization programme will be considered as an asset.

Excellent report writing skills
Strong coordination and communication skills
Good analytical skills
Well versed with IT based work environment
Language
Urdu, English, Pashto
Travel
Incumbent willing to travel to far flung districts especially Southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Newly Merged Districts
