Manager, Retail Purchase
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective retail purchase strategies to optimize the retail operation's purchasing activities and achieve maximum value for the business.
- Oversee the purchase process, including negotiation of purchase terms, placing orders, tracking deliveries, and resolving any issues that arise.
- Manage and mentor a team of purchasing professionals to ensure that they have the required knowledge, skills, and resources to perform their roles effectively.
- Maintain a strong relationship with vendors and suppliers, ensuring that they are meeting the business's requirements for quality, price, and delivery timelines.
- Analyze market trends and pricing data to identify potential cost-saving opportunities, and make recommendations to senior management based on these findings.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including the marketing, sales, and finance teams, to ensure that purchasing activities align with broader retail goals.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements, including procurement regulations, data protection, and health and safety guidelines.
