Job Responsibilities
- Provide legal assistance through mobile servicing on a rotation basis.
- Provide legal counseling support across the camps were BRAC provides legal assistance.
- Provide the mediation in Community Centers and other appropriate community structures.
- Organize training, workshops and advocacy sessions across the spectrum of official and legal authorities in the area, support of specialist trainers will be sought when required.
- Collect details of people with relatives in prison and send report to the staff lawyers.
- Maintain records, files and other related documents.
- Assist to prepare work plan, weekly report, bi- weekly report, monthly report of the programme.
- Organize and conduct Legal Awareness workshops with Rohingya community people,Majhi,Imam .
- Ensure all planned activities of the programme.
- Maintain collaboration with other protection sectors, site management, CiC office.
- Supervise the Junior legal officer and paralegal activities
- Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
- Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
- Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

- Good knowledge of Legal assistance in Humanitarian context
- Good knowledge in Protection in emergency context.
- Ability to use computers and have knowledge of MS Office, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint.
- Teamwork spirit and community mobilization skills
- Good communication skills.
- Problem solving skills.
