JOB PURPOSE

This position will be responsible for developing IDP’s business and raising funds. Additionally, this role will incorporate innovative approaches to resolve new and emerging challenges while integrating climate adaptive measures into activities and their implementation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Drive project design and fundraising by developing narratives for new and region-specific climate change mitigation and adaptation measures integrated into IDP’s initiatives.

Develop and promote new climate-resilient livelihoods and coordinate the pilot projects, products (insurance, saving schemes, agricultural and WASH commodities, digitalization efforts, etc.), and technology in IDP’s working areas and systems.

Collaborate closely with technical experts in various sectors and mainstream programs to tackle challenges according to the needs of communities, to enhance access to services for people.

Regularly visit and consult with communities, programs, and other stakeholders to identify gaps and understand contexts to design initiatives customized for integrated operations and implementation.

Capture and integrate learnings to improve working modalities and project designs through innovative approaches.

SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
