Technical Support Specialist- IT


Job Responsibilities
  • An experienced technician responsible for providing IT site service support on core infrastructure and desktop technology standard to Company's operating environment.
  • Provide core Infrastructure supports i.e., install & maintain both LAN/WAN to ensure 24X7 network availability.
  • Implement, install and troubleshoot all sorts of network equipment (Router, Switch, Mux, MC etc), Radio, and fiber optic communications.
  • Identify and provide solutions on the critical network and communications issues. Escalate to next level SMEs of IT Co-located team, Accenture, HCL etc. while applicable.
  • Upgrade LAN and WAN (equipment rack) infrastructures to maintain Company standard.
  • Deskside support both onsite and remote for desktop technologies, Windows Operating Systems, printers and Mobile Device Management including day-to-day services and support, troubleshooting, incident management, preventative and mitigative maintenance and change implementation.
  • Provide IT hardware break-fix support for Company’s standard models and approved 3RD party hardware.
  • VC equipment installation/ re-installation, maintenance and ensure their smooth operation during Video Conferencing meeting.
  • Establish new LAN facility for new users/work station.
  • Prepare and update all drawing documents for both LAN and FOC Link.
  • Day to day maintenance support for both Business LAN and WAN to support OT/Cloud. Engineer & Network SME as required.
  • Ensure the main and back-up power from UPS for all Network and Server equipment in operation.
  • Establish the required Fiber Optic Link for business and 3rd party operation within the facility
  • Coordinate with support service provider to ensure the FOC Backbone connectivity for business and 3rd party.
  • Ensure the SCADA Link connectivity for PCN operation between Wellheads and Control Room and their maintenance.
  • Install IPT, WLAN AP for any new request, ensure their serviceability and day to day maintenance (relocation, replacement, connectivity etc) support.
  • Install VHF Base Radios in operational area and ensure their maintenance.
  • Ensure the smooth operation for huge quantity of VHF handheld (W/T) radios and their maintenance and maintain inventory.
  • Prepare documentation required for Management Of Change (MOC) process.
  • Mobile Device Management infrastructure, mobile device, and mobility support per Company’s standard.
  • Level 1 troubleshooting support on audio video system, projectors, speakers.
  • Level 1 support on anti-virus and patching if local effort required.
  • Timely escalate to next support levels.
  • Level 1 support on the 3rd party Internet issues and request at the company premise.
  • Adopt and respond to ITSM system in service delivery, incident management, and change management. Demonstrate proficiency in IT Service Management, ticket-based and SLA-based culture.
  • Maintain IT asset inventory both hardware and software with data integrity and availability.
  • Follow and enforce Information Protection (IP) Policy of the company.
  • Maintain liaison with and follow directives set forth by the company’s IT Department.
