Job Description

The delivery of module contents through the lecture, tutorial, workshop (LTW) and additional knowledge delivery settings, for the stipulated number of hours in a week.

The design, development and preparation of the module’s contents and other supplementary teaching materials.

The delivery of high-quality teaching sessions and continuous support for student’s learning on assigned modules through constructive feedbacks, advice, and continuous academic support.

The implementation of a reflective method to the development and enhancement of one’s own teaching practice using the received practical feedbacks.

Module Specific Requirements

1. Programming

Number of vacancies: 1

The candidates are to help the students develop interest, technical ability and confidence using a programming language.

Comfortable with core JAVA (JAVA SE) or JAVA EE.

Familiarity of working on Blue J, Eclipse or Intellij IDEA IDEs.

2. Databases

Number of vacancies: 1

Good understanding of data modelling and design concepts are expected of the candidates.

Familiar with ideas on the normalization theory and database models, logical schema transformation, and relational database operations with SQL

3. Network and Operating Systems

Number of vacancies: 1

Strong knowledge of LINUX based operating systems, file systems, shell scripting and a comprehensive understanding of the memory, I/O, and process management processes.

Communication and network fundamental concepts such as familiarity of the TCP/IP protocols, switching and compression are also expected of the candidates.

4. Software Engineering

Exposure to System Analysis and Design, Software Development Lifecycle and Software Modelling Techniques

Good understanding of UML and Context Diagrams.

Implementation of Agile Methodologies like SCRUM in Real Life Projects.

5. Information Systems

Basics of Database and Normalization Process

Experience of using HTML and CSS in web page design and development

6. Application Development

Number of vacancies: 1

Comfortable with development platforms such as Microsoft .NET, including associated technologies, programming languages such as C# and ASP.NET.

Familiarity with Visual studio in development of desktop applications and programming database creation using Microsoft SQL server is expected of the candidates.

7. Advanced Database Systems Development

Number of vacancies: 1

Comfortable using advanced SQL and database application development tools, such as Oracle SQL developer, Oracle, and Dot.net.

Familiarity with concepts on single row functions, advanced subqueries, DML statements is expected of the candidates.

Enhanced awareness of Oracle professional certification and current developments in database technologies are highly encouraged to apply.
