Effective Vaccine Management (EVM) Coordinator

Responsibilities

  • Functional coordination between the provincial, district and Federal levels on EVM related matters.
  • Gauge the implementation of EVM Improvement plan at all levels.
  • Bottle necks identified and mitigating measures developed and applied.
  • The capacity building of all vaccine and cold chain management staff on EVM practices including all related vaccine management and related trainings for existing and new vaccine(s).
  • Ensure active participation in all vaccine and logistics management of all COVID-19 related activities including logistics readiness for implementation at Provincial and district levels
  • Oversight and coordination of all implementation activities in Province including timely update of cold chain inventory.
  • Optimal support /coordination imparted to provincial EPI in updating and operationalization of all the vaccine and cold chain management related SOPs.
  • Ensure active participation in developing EVM-Improvement Plan (EVM-IP) as well as optimal coordination and oversight for the effective and timely implementation of the same.
  • To monitor implementation progress of EVM-IP against defined indicators and milestones.
  • To communicate and report implementation progress on regular basis.
  • Capacity building of Provincial & district staff on vaccine management and cold chain

Qualification

  • An advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) in Medicine, Public Health, or other social sciences (*A first University Degree in a relevant field combined with 2 additional years of professional experience may be accepted in lieu of an Advanced University Degree).
  • Skills and Experience
  • At least 2 years’ experience of working in Public Health Sector (public and private)
  • Working Experience of managing vaccine management and logistics/procurements  
  • Experience of working in Provincial/districts settings, governments and context with good understanding of the existing health systems
  • Good written, oral and verbal Communication Skills with effective coordination capacity. Knowledge of local language (Punjabi) will be preferred
  • Good computer skills with expertise in Microsoft office especially Word, Excel & Power point
  • Good command on data analysis and report writing skills

Contract duration

  • 6.5 months

Salary

  • Based on achievement of Established Deliverables @PKR 200,000/- per month.

Travel

  • Yes (Need Based).
