Communication / Behaviour Change Expert

Job Description

• Provide on-going technical assistance to community-based activities and capacity building of the team working in the field.
• Develop/ strengthen Village WASH committee to support WASH services in the community.
• Provide support for the development and implementation of a community-based social and behavior change strategy and related activities mainly focused on WASH.
• Develop and implement activities that lead to a strengthened community-based approach in project
• Serve as a direct link between donor and other implementing partners.
• Liaise with various stakeholders including but not limited to provincial DOH, DCO, local government, development partners, UN agencies and create excellent working relations with other consortium and partners.
• Contribute to documenting experiences, success stories, activity reports, presentations, briefs and articles of publication.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to develop relations with national counterparts, donors, and other stakeholders
• Develop work plan and work on the activities budget with finance.
• Develop/ adopt communication strategies for the team for the intervention, have knowledge on the approaches in community mobilization and BCC
• Prepare and finalize the submission of project quarterly and annual progress reports, including background documents Other duties as assigned.

Language and Computer Skills

· Must have a high degree of proficiency in MS Office programs

· Proficiency with various social media platforms highly desired.

· Fluency in written and spoken English and Urdu is required (including the ability to type in Urdu).

· Additional regional language Sindhi is preferred.
