District Project Manager

Responsibilities

Will guide nutrition team in broader coordination with other stockholders i.e. PPHI, DHO and other Social Organizations.

Will define program implementation modalities (targeting criteria, mobilization modalities, local partnerships, monitoring systems, staff schedules, etc.) in coordination with District Nutrition officer, Social Mobilization Officer and field team.

To ensure quality and integrity of implementation, including adherence to technical guidelines, administrative systems, and established deadlines. Identify and respond to related staff capacity building priorities.

Will develop regular project monitoring that includes participatory methods, program progress, effectiveness of Shifa Foundation facilitation, progress toward achieving targets, ability to measure stated indicators, program adherence to methodology, budget expenditure, etc.

Will prepare internal and external reports for Shifa Foundation and donors, including expenditure plans and ensure monthly progress reports, supplies consumption report and request for supplies are timely shared with Head Office and Donor.

Will prepare timely quarterly report as per donor format with Head Office for timely onward submission

Will sensitize main stakeholders on Malnutrition and need for support and commitment for long term access to life saving activities for children

Will assess the needs of identified locations with local authorities and health personnel

Will define overall Nutrition project implementation plan in collaboration with District Nutrition officer and Field team to ensure the full package is planned.

Will provide provision equipment, and supplies received from donor and Head Office as necessary for startup.

Will ensure communication and coordination between the OTP and community mobilization in the frame of Nutrition approach.

Will develop and maintain program monitoring and reporting system.

Will set up accountability and complaints mechanisms for the communities

Will be responsible for the timely submission of Procurement Request forms to Logistics and Admin department

Will represent Shifa Foundation programs in nutrition/health coordination meetings in district and at cluster level in Sindh.

Will represent Shifa Foundation nutrition programs when and if necessary vis-a-vis donors during their field visits.

Will establish strong relation with MOH and Local authorities and local partners for their collaboration in activities implementation.

Will coordinates with the health and nutrition authorities at UC/district level. At least one meeting should be ensured per month, and any time necessary.

Will participates to the nutrition cluster meetings at district level and province levels constructively.

Will lead Nutrition staff recruitment and ongoing capacity building; identify staff and stakeholder training needs; conduct regular performance evaluations and draft/revise Responsibilitiess.

Will provide technical support to staff and promote learning based on project objectives and activities and ensure documentation and sharing of learning with other sectors and programs.

Will ensure that staff responsibilities are clearly defined and understood, with performance objectives set against work plans and regularly monitored.

Will collaboration with Logistics and Administration, responsible for Nutrition program design in collaboration with the Field Staff.

Will oversee and support Admin/Finance team to finalize and get approval from head office for all activities budgeted in project document.

Will plan, conduct and supervise TOT session for field teams/ health care providers at district level.

Will plan, conduct and supervise cascade training of Community health workers/ lady health workers at district level
