Medical Officer

Job Description

• Treat the patient with empathy and develop a relationship with the patient during the period of contact allowing improved insight into patient's problems.
• Diagnosing and treatment of patients.
• Strictly follow timetables and schedules as delineated. Ensure that all assigned work is completed in a certain time frame to allow continuity of health care.
• Oversee the day to day operations of the department to ensure good service delivery and smooth operations in accordance with the university policies and best practice in medical services.
• Monitor patient progress and enhance patient care wherever possible through astute observation as well as timely suggestions and interventions.
• Supervise and lead the Healthcare center team.
• In case of emergency carry out minor surgical procedures with prior consent of university management.
• Oversee procurement of medical supplies and services.
• Advising and counseling of patients.
• Handle referrals of patients.
• Organize regular health awareness sessions for the university staff and students.
• Organize necessary training sessions (inclusive of CPR, BLS, First Aid, Health & Safety Training) for the university staff and students.
• Occasional participation in Medical camps.
• Any other official task assigned by the Lead, COPCS/Media.
