Area Manager, Milk Collection (BRAC Dairy & Food Project)
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure good quality of milk collection, preservation and dispatch to BDFP factory with necessary test for quality control
- Organise materials related milk production, collection, distribution and reach desired volume of milk procurement within the duration
- Monitor and evaluate the collection and financial activities within the concerned areas and prepare daily milk collection report and stock report etc.
- Find new scope for expansion of milk collection territory by establishing the relation with other social activities
- Attend the regular farmer's meeting, identify the farmer's need/problems and necessary suggestion for solving the problems.
- Plan and execute the promotional activities, health camp, health care and breeding activities in co-ordination with the respective team for improving animal health and productivity
- Create a robust producer base with focus on clean milk production, high level of productivity and quality
- Maintain and update all registers, bill voucher and milk procurement record for smooth functioning of chilling centers
- Lead to maintain stock of spare parts, chemical, dairy equipment for ensuring inventory management; make fund requisition and ensure payment of the farmers
- Improve performance of the team through effective review mechanism, coaching, training
- Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
- Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
- Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so
- Perform any other jobs as assigned by the management
