Job Responsibilities
- Set up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment, like knives, pans and kitchen scales
- Setting up menus and preparing high quality dishes by consult with Hostel assistant and maximise involvement of customer's opinion preparing high-quality dishes
- Cook food in a timely manner, serve foods to clients properly and timely.
- Delegate task to customer who would like to support kitchen
- Monitor food and kitchen items stocks regularly about quality and stock (quantity), report to hostel assistants about stocks on regular basis so to ensure available supply and assist on placing orders.
- Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items
- Maintain cleanliness in kitchen and dining area, regular cleaning and maintenance of kitchen and all utensils and compliances.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
- Actively and sensitively Response on emergency
- Support 24/7 care for residents by follow the shifting management.
- Attend and take care of clients/residents with professional and customer focus manner.
- Responsible for all customer' overall wellness and ensure standard of care to residents.
- Close collaboration and support to other colleagues
- Maintain confidentiality, privacy and security of staff and customer information at all times
- Daily report to Hostel Assistant of duty and shift
- Arrange and create a safe and friendly environment in all RI buildings.
- Ensure everybody in RI building has met their need and in healthy both physically and mentally.
- Ensure recognized international best practices and Relief International key policies and Code of Conduct.
- Any other responsibilities as requested by direct supervisor
Additional Requirements
- Only females are allowed to apply
- Proven work experience as a Chef or Cook
- Ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks
- Excellent time management abilities
- Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes
- Familiarity with sanitation regulations
- Demonstrate warmth, kind and caring personality
- Cultural awareness and sensitivity
- Enthusiasm to learn
- Optimistic and friendly

- Ability to work under pressure
- Language Skills:
- Excellent communication skill in Rohingya or Chittagonian and Bengali
- Good command in English, an asset
