Infant and Young Child Feeding (SBC - IYCF) Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with the SBC/IYCF counselors and staff of facilitation centers to develop an implementation plan for the promotion and support of optimal feeding practices for mothers, infants and young children in the target population.

Support the families of BNP through SBC/IYCF counselors/community outreach workers and other FC staff through ensuring adherence to agreed guidelines for BNP program.

Monitor, Supervise and mentor the SBC/IYCF counselors and make conscious efforts to enhance their capacities through supportive supervision.

Collect, analyse, and report relevant data shared by SBC/IYCF counselors and share feedback.

Conduct regular training needs assessments and develop/facilitate training for supervisees.

Coordinate /Collaborate with partners to enhance awareness regarding maternal infant and young child nutrition and best feeding practices in the target population.

Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in SBC/IYCF program.

Prepare regular reports on program activities, achievements, and challenges.

Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in SBC/IYCF and community engagement.

Essential Requirements:

A University Degree Post Graduate Masters/MSc (Honours) Human Nutrition, Second Preference in Anthropology, Third Preference in social sciences and Degrees must be from recognized institutes.

3 Years work experience in the field of Nutrition, counseling, IYCF and implementation of KFCPs.

Experience in monitoring/supportive supervision and facilitating trainings.

Strong command on languages [Pushto, Urdu and English] with good command over communication and counseling skills.

Well-developed skills for coordination, networking and working with people of different interest groups and backgrounds.

Local candidates will be preferred.

Note:

Priority will be given to experienced staff with hands on skills of Managing the implementation of Nutrition Projects in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Staff will be hired initially for 03 months.

The positions are purely temporary, extension will be based on satisfactory performance and availability of funds.

These positions should not be considered as Government Job and are non-transferable.
